Quiet Cowboy marks a first for Gaslight, an original work by a local playwright, Matthew S. Hinton. It is a tale of family, love, and loss. Part Fistful of Dollars, part Sam Shepard, Quiet Cowboy pays homage to the wide open spaces of the American family. Gaslight Theatre Company is thrilled to be producing innovative new works of theatre, by emerging playwrights.

Shakespeare’s exciting romance, The Tempest, bends adventure, action, wedding and redemption with monsters, spirits and magic. The wizard, Prospero, creates a storm at sea that causes a ship full of his old enemies to be stranded on his magic island. With the help of his daughter and the spirits that inhabit the island he endeavors to bring about a positive conclusion to the wrongs that were committed against him in the past.
