In January of 2006, the Gaslight Theatre Company produced Eugene O’Neill’s A Moon for the Misbegotten. The production of one of America’s master playwrights was an element of Gaslight’s continuing mission to present under produced classic works to audiences in the NEPA area.

The original, full length production of A Moon for the Misbegotten was directed by Sean J. McKeown.  The production featured Christa Manning as Josie Hogan, Jack Evans as James Tyrone Jr., Greg Korin as Phil Hogan, and Adam Orseck as Mike Hogan.  Kara Riepert was the stage manager and David M. Reynolds was the Set Designer.

Gaslight presented Act 3 of this production which featured Christa Manning and Jack Evens at the Pennsylvania Association of Community Theatres (PACT) Festival.  PACT-Fest 2006 was hosted at the Barnstormers Theatre in Ridley Park, PA on April 7, 8, and 9, 2006.

PACT Fest 2006 was a state wide community theatre competition.  Gaslight competed with productions from other Pennsylvania theatres in this professionally adjudicated event.  In addition to the competition the festival weekend included workshops and events that enabled Gaslight’s group to network with other talented and dedicated theatrical artists from around the state.

At the PACT-Fest 2006 competition both actors Jack Evans and Christa Manning received awards for Outstanding Acting Achievement, director Sean J. McKeown received the David Matthews award for Excellence in Direction and Gaslight received the top award for Best Overall Production.

As a result of winning the PACT-Fest 2006 top production award Gaslight became the Pennsylvania representative to the Eastern States Theatre Association (ESTA) Festival.  ESTA-Fest 2006 was held at the Smith Opera House in Geneva New York on April 21, 22, and 23, 2006.

At this festival Gaslight went on to sweep top honors once again.  Both Jack and Christa received top acting awards and Sean received the directing award. The production won the ESTA-Fest 2006 best production award.
